Welcome Environmental and Sustainability Studies students!  This guide will help you with Environmental and Sustainability Studies research.

This page is a general guide to Environmental and Sustainability Studies sources. If you are an ENV 100 student working on your research paper, please click on the link to ENV 100 on the left side of this page. It will lead you to the research guide that you should use for the research paper.

Users of this page can also take a look at the Government Information and other guides for additional assistance. You may use the tabs above or click on the links below to navigate to different document types.

  • Finding Articles: Access library databases in related subject areas to help you find academic journal articles. We have also included a list of the top ENV journals.
  • Finding Books: Access the library catalog to find scholarly books and other types of documents on environmental studies topics.
  • Useful Websites: From general to specialized websites, this page will give you some links to get started. Most are organizations or government sites.
  • Finding Statistics and Data: Access major statistical and data sources on environmental topics.
  • Citation Guides: You wrote it, but you need to cite it. Get help here for all types of citation styles.

Feel free to ask at the Reference Desk for assistance using this guide. You may also contact Lynda Kellam, Data Services and Government Information Librarian, or make an appointment with her.

Check out the Environmental and Sustainability Studies program web page for information about being a major (or minor)!
